As rose sellers at the Maryland Renaissance Festival we have the privilege of making someone’s day a bit brighter, creating a brief moment of romance/friendship or simply bringing a smile to someone’s face.
I really enjoy the positive vibes these flowers tend to spread, the friendly mischief they can produce, and/or the deluge of love (spurred on by friends or co-workers) they can create with a shower of roses!

I thought this would be fun to do for the rose sellers themselves for once! In my 6 years of selling, I have not seen that happen. “Well of course,” you say, “because THEY SELL THE ROSES, they don’t receive them.”

I’d like to change that with your help.

If you contribute as little as four dollars (the cost of one rose) I will take all the funds and purchase as many roses as I can on Saturday the 15th or Sunday the 16th of October depending on weather. I will split an even number of surprise roses between the rose sellers, with the caveat that “an anonymous person is sending roses out to the other rose sellers but DON’T ruin the fun by saying anything about the delivery.” “From the Universe” might be a suggested answer if asked.

I hope to raise enough money to AT LEAST hit each of the 7 sellers with a dozen roses, but more would be incredible!!

I hope you can help me with this little bit of fun and surprise for the people who work so hard (it’s a 9 hour day of walking, selling and delivering) to spread a little color and magic through the entire faire site.
